Scott Pallets in Newton Abbot recently installed a life-saving defibrillator on-site for use in emergencies by staff and the surrounding community. As part of this installation, they required a safe electrical connection to power the internal cabinet heater, which is essential for keeping the defib unit at the correct operating temperature during colder months.
Datel Electrical was called in to provide the electrical supply and connection for the new defibrillator cabinet. After a quick site assessment, we planned the safest and most efficient cable route to power the cabinet while keeping the setup discreet and secure.
We wired a dedicated connection from a nearby distribution board, including all terminations, testing, and certification, to ensure the cabinet’s built-in heater and light function reliably 24/7, regardless of external conditions. The cabinet was located outdoors, so weatherproof containment and safety compliance were essential.
The defib cabinet is now fully powered, temperature-regulated, and ready for use in emergencies, giving peace of mind to staff and visitors alike. A small but vital project, this installation highlights how a properly wired power supply makes all the difference to the performance and reliability of life-saving equipment.
