Walking for a Worthy Cause | Dave is Taking on 68 Miles in 24 Hours

In June, our very own Dave is putting on his walking boots as he takes on an incredible challenge — walking 68 miles in just 24 hours to raise funds for The Devon Clinic’s Trauma Charity.

Starting at Westward Ho! and finishing on Paignton Seafront, this epic route covers some of Devon’s most beautiful (and hilly!) coastal paths. This isn’t going to be an easy stroll, but as you know, Dave doesn’t shy away from a challenge, especially when it’s for a good cause.

Why This Charity Matters

The Devon Clinic provides vital support for people struggling with trauma, stress, and mental health challenges across our community. Their work helps those in crisis access professional therapies and wellbeing services, often free of charge.

By taking on this 24-hour challenge, Dave hopes to raise awareness and much-needed funds to help the clinic continue offering these life-changing services to those who need them most.

Because no Datel challenge would be complete without a bit of fun, we’re adding our own twist: Failure Bingo 🎯

Here’s how it works:

• There are 68 squares, one for each mile of the challenge

• Pick your square for £5

• Guess the mile you think Dave might give up on (we’re hoping he won’t, of course!)

• If he completes the full 60 miles, everyone’s in with a chance to win!

💷 The winner gets £100, and every other penny raised goes straight to the Devon Clinic Trauma Charity.
