Summer Electrical Work at United School Federation

Datel Electrical has been working with local schools for multiple decades, helping ensure their wiring, sockets and general school electrics are meeting regulatory requirements. Over the summer holidays, our team of electricians completed various commercial electrical tasks at the United Schools Federation, Newton Abbot.

The school federation has welcomed back 100s of pupils, parents and staff through their doors this September. To ensure they were able to welcome back their staff and students safely, they enlisted the help of Datel Electrical to ensure all of their sockets and wires were safe and ready to use ahead of the new school year. They also wanted our team of electricians to install a roller shutter door on the premises.

What School Electrical Work Was Completed?

As this was a school, while all of our electricians were DBS-checked, to ensure minimal disruption to the school day, the works were timetabled to be completed during the holidays and finished before the new academic year was to start.

Our team of electricians not only completed the safe installation of the roller door to the specifications required, but they also completed the following:

• Electrical sockets checks, completing their electrical investigations and checking for any electrical issues or faults
• Checked all of the wiring in the school to ensure it was in working order, with no frayed, broken sparking wires
• Installed new wiring encased in new trunking, as well as switches to operate the new rolling door
• New roller door installation

All work was completed within an agreed upon time-frame and the school also benefited from our six-year guarantee on all completed works.
