David’s Work with Splash Projects

At Datel Electrical, giving back to the community is part of who we are, and that doesn’t stop at the end of the working day. Our director, David Wright, has been quietly making a big impact through his volunteer work with Splash Projects, an organisation that delivers purpose-driven community projects in partnership with global businesses and local charities.

Over the past few years, David has dedicated time, energy, and hands-on labour to support Splash initiatives both in the UK and abroad. From flying out to France with his son to help build a play and sensory area for disabled children in Angers, to joining a fast-paced project in Tower Hamlets that saw a community transformation in just two hours, David’s practical skills and dedication have been put to great use. These projects don’t just deliver real physical improvements – they build purpose, connection, and confidence for all involved.

David’s involvement goes beyond turning up on site. As a Splash Ambassador, he’s helped raise awareness and even donated to Splash’s project in Zambia, where the team constructed facilities to support vulnerable children and families. His contributions are part of a global effort to use teamwork, skills, and leadership to make a tangible difference where it’s needed most.
